If you haven't subscribed to the [i:75ff2078ee]AIRCO Advisor[/i:75ff2078ee] yet, you may want to do it now!

I have a big announcement in tomorrow's issue that is something that's been in the works for a while... I think a lot of people will be interested.

Pretty exciting, isn't it??

If you didn't get the Advisor, you can read it here.

Vinny, you did a great job, as did Bob with more installments for future issues.

Fantastic!! I had already budgeted this years insurance as the same as last years (too much). Hopefully I can save a couple thousand.

Since my insurance isn't up for 3 or 4 months, I'm not submitting for a quote just yet. Would someone be nice enough to post a ball park figure of what the quote was for bouncers, slides, etc. when they get one?

Re: Big News In Tomorrow's Advisor! 7 Years, 2 Months ago Karma: 0
Well I guess I don't fall in the requirments. It has a 22' slide being the biggest you can have and all my slides are bigger than that. 30' is my biggest slide.

Well it sounds like good news to many of you. I got a new company today from one of my competion about insurance on bigger stuff and I'm going to check them out next week. My insurance is up again in two months so I need to check around for cheaper before then. It would be nice to get cheaper insurace being part of a group but it will be hard to fine insurance that will work for everyone. Not too many insurance companies out there insure 30' slides.

Well maybe in the future more will cover slides like mine. Right now I think I have maybe four choices and all of them cahrge $14,000 or more. The one I have now is $15,000. Its not the cheapest out there but it has the best service. I can get a aditional insured in less than 30 minutes after I ask for it. That really helps when your doing last minute events!

Well it looks like Airco is on a good start. It may not help me but if it helps all of you then thats pretty cool. Good luck everyone!

EM, you can always try and get a quote. I believe the 22' restriction is the sliding area, not to the top of the slide. So, 22' sliding area usually translates to a 26'-28' full height.

That still wouldn't cover 30' though unless there is a lot of stuff just for looks at the top and it's a lot higher than a standard slide.

Brad, I think you can go ahead and get a quote for future coverage if you want to see what it's going to look like. There is a spot on the application for "effective date" and you can put in your expiration date on your current policy.

They might be a little busy today, though...

I got a quote from Zurich a year and a half ago through sams club. They were insuring inflatables then. They provide extensive coverage. I only had 2 moonwalks at the time so it didn't work for me because of policy minumums but might now. I don't know what if any discount airco members are getting, but I suspect the quotes won't be much less, if any, than through sams. Still a good job setting something up though.

10% premium reduction for AIRCO members, and while Zurich is underwriting the plan, the parameters and premiums were set up specifically for inflatables and amusement rental companies.

Sam's might have a policy as well (check it out if they do! Why haven't we heard about that before? ) but this isn't the same one.

Does anyone else have a policy through Sam's Club?

I'd be very interested for someone to get quotes from both and let us know how they stack up.

they typically check to see if they've already quoted you. so zurich's through airco and zurich's through sams will probably only get you one quote. would be nice to compare though.

Re: Big News In Tomorrow's Advisor! 7 Years, 2 Months ago Karma: 0
It would be interesting to see. I just called to see what the deal was with that and the insurance company is not aware of Zurich writing any inflatable policies for Sam's.

On the 22' slide issue, you'll want to measure your slide from the peak of the slide (where a person actually sits) to the ground. They told me that many 30' slides only have a 21' slide peak.

Also on the discount... we got a little overzealous on that. SORRY!! I thought it was a done deal, but apparently the discount won't go into effect until they've written enough policies to justify a group discount.

However, I was assured that the premiums are probably 20% or more less than current polices in the market. So, give them a chance to quote you and see what you think! A discount is likely to be in effect by the end of the season or next season as more people switch their policies over. Many people are still on a November-October renewal so there are a lot of companies that won't have a chance to test out FunPro before the end of the year.

Sorry, missed the earlier question. Zurich is A+ rated.

To pre-answer the next question, this is non-admitted insurance.

Re: Big News In Tomorrow's Advisor! 7 Years, 2 Months ago Karma: 0
Well I've email Vicky and she thinks she might be able to help me! In my opinion my 30' slide is much safer then a slide that is 22' tall. The slide I have is 95% fully inclosed and has that air safety feature. Its the safest inflatable I own and it happens to be the hardest to insure. Well I have until May to shop around and see who gives me quotes. I have a long record of loss runs so that will help.

I like to get my insurance down to $10,000 a year. The only thing thats good with the insurance I have now is I can buy ten more inflatables and my insurance will never go up and they are just fast when it comes to sending me what I need to do a event.

I'm hoping this company can help me because it sounds like they are a good company as well.

It sure would be noce to find cheaper insurance. It just seems the more you make the more bills you have. Between insurance and everything else it takes to run a business it seems that you just don't make as much as you once did. I hope she can help me out because that would be cool. The website says over 15 years and I have no idea why I never heard of them before! I thought I call them all! Well fingers crosss and I'll see what happens.

well, i tried, but they don't insure manual belay rock walls. it's unfortunate. i prefer the manual belay over auto belay. it lets you help and coach kids more.

I was told they measure from the top of the slide and not the slide part. I told them my slide is 30 feet to the top and maybe 25 feet from the slide part. If it was not for that slide I think they could help me. I still have alittle hope so I got my fingers crossed. I have many years of perfect loss runs so I have that helping me. I'll just wait and see. Vicky is doing her best! Thats all I can ask!

I spoke with Vicky yesterday. She said that funpro got a swarmed with request from AIRCO members and they are working as quickly as possible. She did mention they are trying to prioritize by effective dates. In other words whoever sent in their request first and needs insurance right away they will work on them first. She had hope to get some answers for some of us by the end of this week.
